CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Mark Pover is our Chief Financial Officer and resident handyman. It’s not
uncommon to see him with a P&L statement in one hand and a power drill in the
other.
Before joining us, Mark was the Chief Operating and Financial Officer of the
Utix Group, Inc., a publicly traded, technology based company servicing the
incentive and marketing industry using is patented variable level prepaid card
technologies. While there, he authored and patented new technological processes
using the prepaid card transaction network and implemented new technology
applications which accounted for a 300% increase in corporate sales.
Previously, Mark was Chief Financial Officer of Turbine Entertainment Software,
where he was responsible for all of the financial and administrative functions.
During Mark’s tenure, Turbine grew from 28 employees to 220 employees, raised
over $50 million in capital, secured licenses to develop the online massively
multiplayer games for Lord of the Rings and Dungeons and Dragons, acquired the
game rights to Asheron’s Call from Microsoft and developed and launched both
Asheron’s Call and Asheron’s Call: Fallen Kings, both online massively
multiplayer games.
We ask, but we still don’t understand what ‘massively multiplayer games’ means.
We think there’s a super-secret gold key that unlocks this knowledge that we
haven’t yet found.
Mark co-founded and served as Chief Operating and Financial Officer of EON
Reality, Inc., a virtual reality technology company, in Troy, Michigan. He
served as Chief Financial Officer for Prosolvia AB and held a number of
positions, including General Manager and Chief Financial Officer with Vidco
International & Associates, Inc.
Mark is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and former partner of Porvin,
Tobes & Burnstein, PC. Mark has a MS degree from Walsh and a BS degree from the
University of Michigan. Since joining Virgin HealthMiles, he has given up the
golf cart and walks the 18 holes instead, but you’ll still catch him on the
couch playing video games with his sons on occasion.
